Straight Eight

I originally named this game “Rainbow Flush” when it was first invented. The game is basically the very old game of “Yahtzee” reimagined to use (8) eight-sided colored dice.

When you first start playing, you may think “I’ll never fill these out!” But after a few games a good player will start figuring out ways to maximize their score. It takes some critical thinking!

As mentioned on other pages on my site, you can purchase blank, eight-sided dice online and color them yourself. Click the button Dice Colors to see the dice configuration The green button will print out a smaller version of the rules if you are using a scoresheet size box box to store the scoresheets and dice in.

To print out scoresheets, click the image on the right, save the image to a hard drive, then print. Use some scissors to cut them out and buy a nice little box to keep the game in.

To save paper, the big scoresheet on the right may be printed on cardstock and then laminated or placed inside a plastic sheet protector. Use some wet erase markers while playing. They are easy to find and relatively cheap.

These wet erase markers do not smear and may be erased with a wet paper towel or tissue paper.

The plastic box measures 6″x8″ and is perfect for storing scoresheets, a small copy of the rules, along with some dice and a few pencils.
